The National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan recently released foreign trade statistics from January to May this year, and China has returned to the status of the largest trading partner of Ukraine.

　　 Statistics show that Uzbekistan’s foreign trade totaled about US$12.9 billion in the first five months of this year, of which imports totaled US$7.8 billion and exports totaled US$5.1 billion.

　　Affected by the new coronary pneumonia epidemic and other factors, compared with the same period in 2019, Uzbekistan's total foreign trade in the first five months of this year dropped by about 2.4 billion US dollars.

　　Currently, Uzbekistan is trading with 140 countries and regions around the world. According to the foreign trade statistics of the Ukrainian government for the first four months of this year, Russia surpassed China and became the Ukrainian largest trading partner.

　　The statistics show that China-Ukraine trade increased rapidly in May, and the bilateral trade volume reached US$2.3 billion in the first five months. China-Ukraine trade volume exceeded Russia-Ukraine trade volume.

　　Currently, China-Ukraine trade accounts for 17.9% of Ukrainian foreign trade. In addition, the top five Ukrainian trade partners include Russia (accounting for 16.9% of Ukrainian total foreign trade), Kazakhstan (accounting for 8.4%), South Korea (accounting for 7.3%), and Turkey (accounting for 5.5%).

　　In 2019, Ukrainian foreign trade totaled 42.2 billion U.S. dollars, and the top three trading partners were China, Russia and Kazakhstan.
